Nominations may be submitted until midnight on January 7, 2013.

The highest consideration will be given to nominees who demonstrate the values of the Rutherford Community/Quality of Life Committee’s mission statement: “The committee recognizes the Borough’s exceptional quality of life and hopes to strengthen it further by encouraging new initiatives that build on the excellence that is Rutherford.”

Examples of successful nominees include those who may have:
- Promoted, supported, and coordinated events of interest with community groups
- Engaged in and encouraged community activism and pride
- Acted as an advocate for the community.

In short, we are seeking nominees who have gone above and beyond in their contributions to the betterment of our ways big or small. We think Rutherford is a great town, and we’d like to recognize one of our residents for making it an exceptional place to live!

Nominees must meet the following requirements:
- Nominees must have been residents of Rutherford in 2012.
- Nominees must be 18 years of age or older.
- Nominees must not be an elected municipal official serving in 2012.

The winner will be recognized at the January 29, 2013 Council Meeting.
